City of Newburgh Historian Mary McTamaney offers a glimpse in Newburgh's past.

 

Henry Hudson Quadricentennial In 1609, Henrik Hudson explored the Hudson on the Half-Moon. In 1709, Queen Anne of England sent a group of refugees from the Palatinate to settle the Hudson Valley, founding what later became the village of Newburgh.
